Hosted Exchange 2013 Has Arrived - With Massive 50GB Mailbox!

Dear Customer

Over the coming months your Exchange subscription will be upgraded from your current Hosted Exchange 2010 environment to Hosted Exchange 2013.

Exchange 2013 builds upon the Exchange Server 2010 architecture, delivering an even more resilient, user friendly service.

Please check whether your email client will be compatible with Exchange 2013 in the compatibility table below.

Whats New With Exchange 2013?

Doubled Mailbox Storage Quota!

After your migration to Hosted Exchange 2013, your mailbox storage will increase from 25GB to 50GB. There is no price increase associated with this change. The increase is simply part of our promise to continuously deliver value to our clients.

You don't need to do anything to take advantage of the new mailbox size, your storage will be automatically increased as part of the upgrade process.

New Look OWA

The biggest change as a result of the upgrade is the redesigned Outlook Web App.

  • Modern look and feel
  • Enhanced touch capability and usability
  • Multitasking emails with integrated apps in Outlook like Bing Maps, suggested appointments and action items
  • Global view of contacts from multiple locations (Exchange, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Easier searches with “Smart Search” which prioritizes search results based on previous behavior

When Will The Upgrade Happen?

All Exchange subscriptions will be upgraded using a phased approach over the coming months. You will be notified by email when your organisation is nearing the expected upgrade date.

You will not need to make any changes to your configuration and the link you use for OWA will not change.

Please be aware that all clients, including those not yet upgraded to Exchange 2013 will see the new OWA 2013 splash screen when logging into OWA.

Email Client Compatibility

Please be aware that not all email clients will be compatible after the upgrade. To ensure there is no disruption to your email service please check the compatibility chart below and upgrade your client if necessary.
