Employment is Currently :- Part Time, Contract on a Per Job basis.

Primary functions: 

 

To provide onsite and / or remote technical support to clients including installing, repairing and maintaining PC hardware, software and peripherals. Customer support on occasions may be required, this would be of service desk and phone support type roles.

Jobs are allocated to technicians which visit the locations and attend to requirements. Jobs are usually pre organised and require minor solution diagnosing to finalise, however product knowledge and diagnostic skills are always advantageous.

You are free, out and about without the normal restraints of an office. You are a mobile office visiting clients businesses and homes as required, attending to pre organised work or service calls.    

 

Job responsibilities:

 

  • Manage yourself, build rapport and elicit problem details from clients
  • Undertake maintenance and management tasks as per customer contracted scopes of work
  • Undertake varied maintenance and management tasks as required
  • Liaise with external vendors where required to ensure timely resolution of hardware / software issues
  • Provide technical support to resolve calls from a remote location when required, either by telephone, web-logging or email
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients, management and customers
  • Maintain current levels of documentation as per contractual obligations; Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities
  • Efficiently work through the Incident Management System to allocate, receive and complete work
  • Travel to and from customer location will be required

 

Qualifications and Requirements

 

  • Experience in diagnosing, working with Microsoft Windows based software, Microsoft Office, Mac operating systems, Workstation, Networks, Servers, Modems, Firewalls and Routers.
  • Excellent communications skills and effectively communicate with customers at all levels. 
  • Students in the technology sectors are acceptable.
  • Course certificates and qualifications are of an advantage. However we are looking for competent individuals who can manage and perform on their own. 
  • An ABN is required for contract work. We can help you in obtaining this, although you need to be an Australian resident. 

 

Selection Process

 

  • Suitable applicants will be invited to participate in a short web based questionnaire in relation to the Position. In this evaluation you will be asked to complete a series of questions that may include general computer terms, diagnostic procedures and general computer knowledge to further asses the applicants suitability.
  • Successful applicants will then be informed of their application status and invited to attend an interview
